In business since 1945 and a chamber members since 2000. The first aerosol-dispensed whipped cream was patented in 1945 by Aaron "Bunny" Lapin and Clayton Corporation was founded as a manufacturer of valves for this new product. Later, Clayton Corporation expanded from the food and dairy market into the industrial building materials market and its division of Convenience Products was created. Today, both companies are run by Byron Lapin with locations in Pacific and Fenton. Both locations have manufacturing plants that operate three shifts. Clayton Corporation concentrates on the design and development of aerosol valves and plastic components for manufactureres around the world. Convenience Products manufactures premium-quality specialty coatings, sealants and adhesives for use in commercial, industrail and residential construction and home improvement. These products are marketed under the brand names SEAL-KRETE, Touch'nSeal, and Touch'nFoam and are also distributed domestically and internationally.
